On Sale Date?

Love your magazine! I'm a new subscriber, but I've been buying your magazine from local book stores for over a year now. I like the new look of the website, but I miss the date you used to display to show when the new issue was expected to hit the stores. The first time I saw the new website design, I didn't see the date, so I clicked on the picture of the new issue, expecting to see it, but alas, I couldn't find it.

That's the only complaint I could come up with. If I think of anything else, I'll let you know.

Thanks for your feedback! We are going to be improving some areas of the website over the next weeks, and we will add the On Sale Date information to the Current Issue section.

In the meantime, if you're looking for news on delivery dates, another option is to sign up for our newsletter. The newsletter also offers a peek at what's coming up in the next issue, as well as links to some of the articles. Sign up at https://www.linux-magazine.com/subscribe/iframe_newsletter.

Digital Subscription?

I have to congratulate you for the new facelift you have given to the linux-magazine.com website. I find it much easier to navigate, and the layout is very clean.

Being able to read the news as it happens (instead of waiting for the magazine to come out every month) is another great reason to visit your website. Now the only big question I have is if you will ever release a digital version of Linux Magazine. A digital version would make Linux Magazine available all over the world, and it would reduce the cost.

I don't always use the DVD, but I still buy the magazine because of its excellent content. I would certainly be interested in buying a PDF version of the magazine if it were available at a cheaper price than the printed version. Because I spend most of my time in front of a computer screen screen, I actually still prefer to read it in paper form, but I can always print it.

Something else I would be interested in is a forum where the readers of Linux Magazine can get together and comment about the articles or what they want to see in the future. However, I am a member of other Linux Internet boards, and to be honest, I do not see a great deal of participation, so I am not sure what other readers would make of YALF (Yet Another Linux Forum).

I will still be visiting your website to read the news though, so keep up the good work.

PS: I just added the RSS feeds from your site to my reader.

We're glad you like our new website. The site is continuing to evolve, so we encourage readers to send us comments and present us with requests. We won't be able to do everything, but we will certainly consider your thoughts as we add new features to the site.

As for the question of digital subscriptions, we actually offer a digital version right now. The US$ 39.90-per-year digital subscription lets you download full issues of the magazine as soon as they are available. Sign up at our website: http://www.linux-magazine.com/digisub.
