Knoppix is the quintessential Live troubleshooting tool for admins, developers, and desktop Linux users. This handy Debian-based distribution runs directly from the DVD drive on a variety of Intel-based systems. Version 6.1 includes an update of the Microknoppix design unveiled in the 6.0 release, which includes a new boot system and a reduced software collection for faster startup.

Place this DVD in the drive and restart your system. If you computer doesn't start, make sure your BIOS is configured to boot from a DVD. Enter the BIOS setup menu (see your vendor documentation), make sure DVD boot is enabled, and make sure the DVD drive is before the hard drive in the boot order. |
