Correctly called the X Window System, or simply X, it is the foundation of most Graphical User Interfaces on Unix and Unix-like operating systems.
LOADLIN
A DOS program which, when executed, runs Linux from DOS. DOS is removed from memory (not from your hard drive) when this is done, so it is not possible to exit Linux and return to DOS.
